About Us

For more than 100 years Evesham Swimming Club has been coaching swimmers, from early days swimming in the River Avon, through the years at the outdoor pool beside the river, at the Davies Road Pool and now at our brand new 25m pool in the centre of Evesham. We are an inclusive club, having swimmers that wish to compete, as well as those who want to keep fit. Eligible swimmers are able to enter friendly galas, PGL & Nuneaton League, County, District and National Championships as well as a number of Open Galas throughout the year.

The club is run by volunteers with coaching from a team of highly qualified coaches, many of whom are parents of current or previous swimmers. As a club we take training of our coaches seriously and every year we invest in their development.

We have strong links with Worcester Swimming Club which enables some of our county and national swimmers to have access to additional pool time as well as sharing coaching skills.

Swimmers range from 5 to 65+ years old, so there are eleven squads to provide the appropriate training.

Over the years we have helped many swimmers hone their skills and we are proud to have honorary members – Roland Lee (1984 Los Angeles, 1988 Seoul and 1992 Barcelona), Joanne Deakins (1992 Barcelona and 1996 Atlanta) and Cameron Brodie (Commonwealth Games 2010).
